Description: The objective of the study was the design, pilot and evaluation of a methodology for the teaching of functional literacy and math skills in adults.
The research was based on a problem-based learning methodology, where the use of literacy and mathematics by adults is present in everyday life. Based on this methodology, a course was designed where learning situations were challenging, motivating, significant, and relevant, in order to generate meaningful learning that would later be transferable to other contexts.
